Enterprise Architecture
• Establish technology vision and strategy leveraging the current technology landscape
• Manage a highly outsourced IT environment and align IT vendors with business objectives
• Ensure long-term business objectives and technology architecture are consistent with each other
• Significantly reduce costs and increase efficiencies by streamlining IT operations and workflow
• Design, build, implement, migrate, administer and upgrade enterprise technology architecture
• Establish cyber security and technology security procedures utilizing IDS (Intrusion Detection System) for DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) and McAfee ePO server to protect technology enterprise architecture
• Create and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity and contingency strategy and plans
• Provide leadership in business governance including compliance audits, SOX audits, data governance and other governance and accountability of information systems and enterprise architecture
• Install multiple redundant internet circuits to create redundant and secure WAN (Wide Area Network) and LAN (Local Area Network) connectivity utilizing BGP and QoS on Cisco routers and firewalls
• Create a WAN (Wide Area Network) information technology architecture to connect LAN (Local Area Network) to SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud platform providers and migrating IT architecture to the cloud
• Implement SaaS applications including, voice, e-mail, e-mail and Bloomberg message journaling using Global Relay and Smarsh and Gateway VPN connected cloud platforms
• Configure network FTP and VPN access and dedicated BlueCat DNS/DHCP servers to facilitate LAN (Local Area Network), internet and cloud platform access through the WAN (Wide Area Network)
• Build virtual SuSE Linux and Windows servers using VMware, StorTrends SANs (Network Storage)
• Install and configure LDAP, file services, Cognos Business Intelligence, ZENworks Workstation Manager, SQL Server, McAfee ePO and Sage accounting servers at primary and contingency locations
• Install and configure WAP (Wireless Access Points) as a dedicated wireless architecture for security
• Establish a dedicated architecture for Bloomberg Terminals utilizing a dedicated Bloomberg circuit
• Install, configure and maintain Workshare document comparison and metadata removal application
• Additional skills include: AWS (Amazon Web Services), Bluehost and WordPress
Data Management and Contingency
• Implement the Unified Process application software development life-cycle, a predecessor of agile
• Created business cases, gathered business requirements, developed project plans
• Oversight of application development and implementation including Quality Assurance testing
• Create documentation, QA and UAT test plans, procedure manuals and knowledgebase
• Engineer modular intra-net application utilizing process configurable code maximizing agile
• Create disaster recovery strategy and procedures using ARCserve for Windows and SEP for SuSE Linux to secure and protect data, including daily oversight and logging to maintain business continuity
• Create business continuity plan and strategy, build contingency site and private cloud with methodic failover testing to ensure the uninterrupted conduct of mission critical business
Technology Business Management and Documentation
• Establish a leadership role in communicating enterprise architecture objectives vision and initiatives
• Demonstrate leadership, managing teams of direct reports and consultants
• Negotiate and create consensus, problem solve and resolve issues
• Create system documentation for IT leadership; specifications and design documentation for IT staff
• Create end user documentation for clients and client leadership, including procedure manuals, knowledgebase, and training documentation that are precise and unambiguous
• Manage and maintain all service, support and license renewals from technical vendors
• Compile and maintain datacenter and user hardware inventory and application inventory
• Create and manage employee onboarding and offboarding IT policies and procedures
• Create and document policies and procedures for IT architecture, security and desktop support
• Prepare capital budget, operating budget and budgets for business proposals
• Execute functional, integration, and regression test plans for regulatory compliance and use cases
• Create, implement and maintain technology procurement process and procedures
• Manage, log and oversee expenditures to ensure project forecasts are aligned within approved capital and operating budget and business proposal budget to maintain ROI (Return on Investments)
• Perform post implementation cost analysis to assure that a cost-effective implementation was realized
